KLEO (Kinross-shire Local Events Organisation) and Loch Leven Community Library are delighted that Elisabeth Gifford will be coming to Kinross as part of Book Week Scotland and the Kinross-shire Winter Festival for “Author Elisabeth Gifford talk about JM Barrie (Peter Pan) side of story.”

Bestselling author Elisabeth Gifford (‘A woman made of snow’ and ‘The lost lights of St Kilda’) will talk about her new book ‘The Mischief Makers’. Exploring the dark secrets that led to Daphne du Maurier becoming one of the greatest gothic novelists. J M Barrie, the inventor of Peter Pan, became guardian to Daphne’s five small boy cousins after their parents’ death. He was a close family friend who spent many hours in Daphne’s nursery spinning tales of the wild boy who refused to grow up. But what was the long-term effect on these children?
