Your Library Account

Find out how to manage your library account or renew your book, which you can do in person, by phone, online, or via the library app. *Please note that the library catalogue is usually offline for regular maintenance every fourth Tuesday in the month from 10.00pm for a few hours (except in December)*

You can also use the library mobile app to help you access your library account on the move, including the option to renew items on loan and reserve items for collection at any Perth and Kinross library:

Renewals

You can renew books up to four times, then they must be returned to a library. If the item has been reserved by someone else, you will be unable to renew your book.

You can renew items online using your library card number and a 4 digit PIN code.

If you don’t have a 4 digit PIN code, email [email protected] to request one. Alternatively, we can provide you with one the next time you are in the library.

For security reasons PIN codes are not given out over the telephone. If you require any assistance with your 4 digit PIN code, please contact us.

Reserve

You can make a reservation using our Library Catalogue.

You can borrow to 24 books, including children’s books and audiobooks, for up to three weeks before returning or renewing them. Books issued from a mobile library are issued for four weeks. There is no charge and a wide variety of genres and formats is available, including fiction, non-fiction, large print, audiobooks, e-books and other online resources.

On this page, you will find practical information about how to extend your library loans, how to reserve books and what we charge for services such as replacement membership cards, interlibrary loans and printing or photocopying.
