Our Jump into Libraries days highlight everything your local library offers, from its physical resources to eResources and regular sessions to special events. You will have the chance to speak with staff about what is available at your library, including books, jigsaws, scanning and printing services, eResources such as books, magazines, audiobooks, and newspapers, and discover all there is to know about the Perthshire Seed Library. Come along and “love” your library. 

There will also be drop-in craft sessions for everyone throughout the day, and there will be the chance to create your own book cover for a special bookshelf showcasing everyone’s designs.

10am – 12pm

Come along to find out how to use Ancestry and research your family history. This is a free drop in session.

2pm – 3pm

Join author and illustrator John Fardell to discover how to create stories. In this fun, interactive event for all ages, John will be sharing the scribbly, imaginative processes that go into his picture books and adventure novels. With lots of joining-in drawing and story-inventing activities, he’ll be giving us loads of tips and inspiration for creating our own illustrated fiction and comic strips. This event is free, but prebooking is required at the library or by phoning 01577 867205. Donations are very welcome. Suitable for all ages. Under 8s must be accompanied by an adult.
