Christmas Closures (2025)
The museum will close on Christmas Eve, Wednesday 24 December, at 3pm. We will be closed on Christmas Day (December 25) and Boxing Day (December 26). The museum will be open Saturday 27, Monday 29, and Tuesday 30 December from 10am to 5pm, and Sunday 28 December, 11am to 4pm.
New Year and Annual Maintenance Closure (2025-2026)
We will close on New Year’s Eve, Wednesday 31 December, at 3pm.
The museum will then be closed for our annual maintenance from Thursday 1 January 2026, until Monday 12 January 2026.
Reopening
We will reopen for normal operating hours on Tuesday 13 January 2026, at 10am.

At the heart of Perth Museum lies the Stone of Destiny, also known as the Stone of Scone, an ancient symbol of Scottish monarchy and kingdom, and an object of utmost importance to both Scotland and the UK.
