Best-selling author Sue Lawrence will be making a virtual appearance at a free online event this November. Sue will be discussing her latest novel, The Unreliable Death of Lady Grange – in conversation with the AK Bell Library’s Elaine Blair.

As well as writing three very popular and well-reviewed historical mysteries, ‘The Night He Left’, ‘Fields of Blue Flax’ and ‘Down to the Sea‘, Sue Lawrence is one of the UK’s leading cookery writers. After winning BBC’s MasterChef in 1991, she became a food writer and journalist, regularly contributing to the Scotland on Sunday, Sunday Times and other leading magazines. Raised in Dundee, she now lives in Edinburgh.

This latest novel, based on the historical facts known regarding the life of Lady Grange, is both strange and tragic. Kidnapped by her husband of 25 years, Lady Grange finds herself exiled to an island off the remote west coast of Scotland. Sue Lawrence reconstructs a remarkable tale of how the real Lady Grange may have coped with such a dramatic fate.

Sue Lawrence will be discussing her latest book live-streamed on Zoom, on Tuesday, 3rd November at 7 pm.

Tickets for the online Zoom talk are free and available through Eventbrite.

This event is kindly sponsored by Thorntons Law.
