Following the successful reopening of seven libraries across Perth and Kinross in May, Culture Perth and Kinross are pleased to announce three libraries will extend their opening hours.
In addition, the North Inch Campus Library will open its doors to the public for the first time since March 2020. The charitable trust looks forward to welcoming customers back to the library to browse, borrow and return books.
From Tuesday, 29 June, libraries at Breadalbane Community Campus in Aberfeldy, Loch Leven Community Campus in Kinross, North Inch Community Campus in Perth and Strathearn Community Campus in Crieff will now open five days, Tuesday to Saturday, each week. Customers will be able to browse, borrow and return books. Public access computers will be available, as will printing, scanning, photocopying and study facilities.
The operating hours at each of the libraries are;
- Tuesday 10.00am – 7.00pm
- Wednesday 10.00am – 6.00pm
- Thursday 10.00am – 7.00pm
- Friday 10.00am – 6.00pm
- Saturday 10.00am – 1.00pm
The extended opening hours make libraries an ideal place to visit during the school holidays for young and old alike. Children can participate in this year’s Summer Reading Challenge, with a WWF inspired theme of ‘Wild World Heroes’. Whilst adults can join the #SummerOf Reading conversation about their favourite summer reads.
