Every Culture Perth and Kinross library member can now access the library’s subscription to PressReader, the world’s largest online newspaper and magazine service, for free.
Library members will now have the chance to enjoy newspapers and magazines in full-colour, full-page format print articles. They can also listen to audio narration or translate content from around the world into 18 different languages. As well as UK daily newspapers including The Courier, The Scotsman, The Press and Journal, The Perthshire Advertiser and The Herald, library members can access over 600 UK magazines and thousands of global newspaper titles, all of which can be read for free with their Culture Perth and Kinross library card.
Library members will have access to 20 million searchable pages from more than 700 UK newspaper titles, covering every aspect of local, regional and national news. As well as news articles, readers will also be able to find obituaries, advertisements, letters and family notices.
In addition, an improved experience is on offer for library members with all library eBook, eAudiobook and eMagazine resources now available for the first time on a single app provided by RBdigital.
Culture Perth and Kinross currently has nearly 4000 titles available online and the move to have eBook, eAudiobook and eMagazine services on the RBdigital app will provide users of this free digital facility with a greater selection of titles to browse and download 24 hours a day, with more new titles added each week.
