Popular Perthshire Creates annual Christmas Design Market returns

Culture Perth & Kinross -

This weekend sees the return of the ever popular Perthshire Creates Christmas Design Market, providing an opportunity to source original Christmas Gifts directly from the artists and makers.

The region is brimming with talented individuals and as a way to showcase as many as possible, this free entry event will for the first time extend to two days this year, with forty-two makers over the weekend, eighteen of which will be there both days joined by a different twelve on both Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 November.

The venue is the fabulous light and bright Civic Hall at 2 High Street, with doors opening at 10 am, the first twenty visitors each day will be the lucky recipients of a Christmas Design Market gift bag containing small items and vouchers kindly donated by the stallholders themselves.

The artists and makers work is hugely varied, all original design and handcrafted, making the choice individual and often unique which results in a thoughtfully chosen gift, while at the same time, also keeping Christmas Shopping local in Perth and supporting the independent makers during this  #JustACard Indie Week.

With a number of jewellers, glass artists, printmakers, textile artists, painters, ceramicists, yarn makers, woodwork artists and more, there’s a fantastic selection of contemporary craft to enjoy and buy.

The Perthshire Creates Christmas Design Market is open from 10 am to 4.30 pm on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 November, at the Civic Hall, 2 High Street, Perth and entry is free.
